Default MC'ing? Too much Hate lyrics, More Lyrical Rhymes

I'm new to the ukmusic.com forum, but i've been mc'ing for over 5 years now, i'm a resident at 4 clubs around the midlands.

When it comes to MC'ing, I asked nuff ravers what they think:
1. they like an MC that invloves them,
2. rhymes that make sense,
3. freestyle (on occasions).
4. be able to HEAR what the MC's saying
5. but most importantly and mc that can complement the music ie: know when to stop/start, knows tunes from only the intro, so dat he can choose a good chat, and give the tune that exciting feel.

Don't get me wrong there are nuff up and coming MC's (including myself) who can bunn up da mic with chats, BUT is that really what the crowd wants!!

Some of the peoples favorite Mc's are VIPER, B-LIVE, and KIE.

But if you want someone who will destroy a nite it will have to be Stevie Hyper D (RIP) and Skibbadee(yes I know their Jungle/DnB Mc's, but their why I started Mc'ing)

(I will be posting some of my known lyrics on the site)

What do you guys thing of the MCing thing? also watch this space for Dzia's (my group, www.dzia.co.uk) first garage single, it's completely diffrent to what any of U garage heads have heard. Its being circulated as i speak (or type)! Peace

agree with all the points the ravers wants

thats like the bible to mcs trus me

but 90% of mcs dont do that they like the sound of there own voice too much

good vibes crowd participation is wat its all about

wen i mc i dont go on how many lyrics i had or even if i get a good reaction i think back about how much noise i got outa the crowd using participating tings for example i say e u say z THE LOADER THEY ARE U NO THE MORE THERE ENJOYIN THEMSELVES

To be quite honnest there is only a small hand full of MCs that are good out there and i aint on about all the big name MCs. I Personaly think all these club MCs are talentless. Sorry, they do have a talent, and thats to get a crowd hyper. But when u listen in more detail to their content, timing, and word assosiation, its terrible.

I belive that the best MCs are the ones who actually chat about things. You get so many MCs who give it:

"im a lyrical G on the M.I.C to get u lively"

???????????????????????????

Now that my friends aint talent.

I am one of a small group of MCs that are trying to change the way people rate talent. My dream is to filter out all these MCs like Kie, DT, Viper n that, and have proppa MCs who use their brain more than their voice.

This is an example of how I would like people to MC:

(aint finished)

a lot of people have been paying money to see an MC who can bunn up da mic with chats along side the DJ. so it probably is wot some of em want.

most peoples faves these days are B-Live & Viper who do bruck up the rave wiv their lyrics.

What do I thing of the MCing thing?

good. i love doin it. been spoilt by a lot of people tho and now we're looked down on and stereotyped etc even by people on here. i could go on but erm... i wont.

which clubs are u resident in?

it is about the crowd and also ur dee jay as an mc, if u no ur dee jay in sinde and out u will no wot he is doing and wen. thats y a crowd really likes u because u no wot day like and there as pasinate to the music as they are.

you av to put ur heart in to it 24/7 and take no notice wot any else thinks im not great but with practice ill b there in 2 or 3 yrs. ive already conqured the whole of stevenage ( my manor) and i no ill make it 1 day.

a good mc has to be
1. original
2.love da music
3.feel da crowd
and last but not least av a laugh if ur happy then the crowd r through da voice with no attitude
