When you come into this world, u can’t help it, where your born/
Some of us have to live life on the streets which are war torn/
Young and innocent you don’t know no different/
Hearin sirens and seein squadrons of 5-0 wiv a arrest warrant/
Knockin down the doors lookin for the bust/
The streets crowd round to see whats the fuss/
Mothers young and old cryin their hearts out/
The feds lookin to see if they can catch the criminals with seeds of doubt/
Goin away dishearted without their drugs/
Facin the savage abuse of the women of the thugs/
Everyday of the week, I see something happen from my bedroom window/
Usually drugs deals or people getting robbed for their dough/
When I turned 5, I was just started skool/
Innocents makes everything seem so cool/
Seeing dead body outlines was the norm to me/
I’m sure others use to fink I watched too much tv/
The older you get, the more people you get to know/
Most of the time it’s a good thing, but sometimes it ends up bad thou/
When you’re a kid your exuberance is at its peak/
Playin with the others kids from the estate, seven days a week/
Thru the extremists heat and winter sleet/
Kickin ball, playin adolescent games in the street/
Adolescent games, suddenly start turnin to petty crimes/
Copyin the big boys, who we look up to at the times/
Everyone did a spot of crime, when growing up
But knew when to stop, before getting grassed up
Apart from a few kids who had ambitions to be on the top
From stealing to pushing drug’s, you name it they did the lot
The lifestyle they were living got me dragged in
I didn’t want to be poor no more, so I decided to live life as a sin
For a little while they treated me like a king
I would do anything just so I could get the same respect that they bring
At the time, little did I know I was throwin a good life away
All I could think about, was the next pay day
I knew they were treated me like $$$$, but I knew I was down wiv a click
Before I was with them, I had never been with a chick
Then one day, I was walkin home from a random girl’s drum
Then all of a sudden the police pulled up, banishing guns
What the $$$$, I ain’t got no gun, (just get your hands up son)
Handcuffed in the back, thinking how I have embarrassed my mum
Being held for 72 hours straight, that turned to 3 months of hate
Getting sent away from the ones I loved, while the ones I called mate
Didn’t come to see me once, let along to give me moral support
3months, 21 days, 10 hours 5minutes and 58 seconds later I’m up in court
On charges of murder, $$$$ and robbery, I’m going with the plea of not guilty
Why did I choose this life for, being normal wouldn’t of killed me
