exclamation Drop Some Bombs, Get Some Feedback

There's too much battling going on on this forum, so I'm gonna take it back to the days when I first joined.

Post your best lyrics, and get some feedback and pointers from the other MC's.

It helped me raise my game, so hopefully it'll help raise some other's too.

I'll go first. Wrote this on the bus to work this morning

It's more or less the same, it's just the name's that changed,
All these rappers out for fame, but don't respect the game,
You can expect the same, weak bulls'hit coming out,
They think that they sound fresh but it seems they be running out

Of things to say, they nned to flip the script,
Need to get on a new tip and kick descriptive s'hit,
Either do this or quit, or you can suck my d'ick,
A third option to motherfuc'kers who think they sound legit

You may wonder why I bother, You could ask why I care,
The crediblity of Hip Hop has turned into thin air,
I've seen the game ripped apart, I've seen the realness diminish,
We should look back at the past, Or hip hop will be at the finish

KRS-1, Slick Rick, You should do your research,
De La Soul, EPMD, Ice Cube, MC Serch
D.O.C, Mel Melle, Eric B & Rakim,
DS teaches history lessons to end your foolish scheme

to many new people, but there like clones to many similar flows,
fat joe said to pull up ma pants and lean back and i said no,
mims aint hot cuz him and tha rest of america use the same flow,
you was right skidz i miss da old skool g's rakim,nasir,eazy-e and co,

theres no new flows comin the overside of tha pond,
sway dassafo, klashnekoff, jehst, the uk's games comin on,
pac died eazys gone and biggies left us thats what went wrong,
but im not gunna dwell on these factors, americas weak, its not goin its gone

neway now im guna tell you what the uk seen has seen,
its real not fake, its not like the u.s it ent got no dream,
infact itsthe opposite we call our music grime cuz our lives are far from clean,
people are tryin to get out the estates but everyway we try weve already been,

the message of this 16 is that usa raps done,
u.ks comin through were representin not holdin the flag were holdin a gun,
the u.s.a rappers get tha chance to escape and run,
brittish em-cees go home and shot the crack to earn a few ton..

Yeah, that's alright. It flowed well. You seem to be on the same mind as me.
F'uck Hip Hop, especially American Hip Hop. It died in the year 2000 when Def Jam started r'aping the life out of it. I only buy new albums now if they're by someone who's been round for a while (except Snoop, Mr Neptune F'ucker!!!)

Too many producers doing the same songs. Especially Timbaland, f'uck Timbaland!! Since when was Nelly Furtado Hip Hop?

Anyway, good rhymes matey. Be good to see some more from ya. That's why I created this thread. Too many battlers, not enough rhymers, if ya nah what I mean. Let's get the real flows going again.

Anyways, tell me what you think about this one.

It's called The Mic. I've posted it on www.Soundclick.com/dustyskidz along with some of my other tunes.

I step up to the mic, and when I'm holding the chrome,
I don't give a f'uck about location, I'm at home in the zone,
I don't give a damn if I'm alone, or in a room full of people,
I always keep it tight and stay on point like a steeple

I give shout outs to my people because their giving me props,
I step up to the mic because my love of Hip Hop,
Is the the only true love I got, I put my heart in these words,
I made a promise from the start I wouldn't follow these herds

And the only diamonds that I got are these uncut one's I drop,
I don't wanna talk about wealth, besides, I ain't got a lot,
And believe it or not, I've been bumping rap since a youth,
These lyrics are my evidence and my flow is the proof

You're best to stick the truth, I don't show love for a faker,
But I show mad love to my mother cos my mother's my maker,
Haters could try to break ya, but they'll never break me,
I step up to the mic to kick the way that it be.

----------------------------------------------------

My weapon of choice, is my mic, now I step,
The ammo is my voice, and I owe Hip Hop a debt,
Because I slipped through the net, I never listened to pop,
Hip Hop since day one, I'm in so deep I can't stop

And everything I drop's like little pieces of me,
I step up to the mic and tell the mic what I see,
And what you think of me, well it don't get me concerned,
Step up to the mic, you try to snatch it, you get burned

Everyday's a struggle, I don't think I can make it,
I step up to the mic, I see my chance so I'll take it,
It could be X-Rated, It all depends on my mood,
I say what I want cos I got nothing to lose

Your hating's old news, you give me ammo to write,
How could you hate on me when you don't know what I'm like?
Haters try to snake me for the fact that I'm white,
I step up to the mic and I keep flowing despite, yeah.

Tell me what ya think!!

Everyone acting like they sheep, they need a shepherd
Someone to show them the way, am the north star, follow me ya heard?
Put all that $hit down, UK and guns? Just because you hear bout it now you think its new
It's been happenin' since back when iceberg slimm was the UKs only few

Bags of smack? Dude thats played out. Its crack cocaine, hittin' manz brains
Take a hit from the crack pipe, havin' dreams like games
'I had dreams of f*ckin an r'n'b bit*h'
Until your house gets raided and you turn snitch

Tellin' on your dealer, 'man he pushin' them pounds of weight'
Straight to the point before they read your rights
Dudes on the block standin' under the street light
Makin' money from your habit weather you black or white

Easy R Doub. Nah didn't record them in a studio. I did them round my mate's place in his bedroom. He's a Drum & Bass and Garage DJ, so he's got a good set up for recording. On the beggining of The Mic you can hear one of my mate's talking, even though I was tellin him to shut da f'uck up!!! Same on Your Love Is Fading, you can hear me speakin to my mate about the levels.
It's annoying cos I've moved away so I can only get to record when I go back to visit, so I'll post a few new tunes on my soundclick when I go back next weekend.
But cheers for checkin my stuff. It ain't all that, but it's ok. I've got about 200 songs written now, I just gotta find the right beats, so if you know any producers, let me know!!!
I'll rap over pretty much anything, cos I listen to all sorts of Hip Hop, so I ain't really gotr a preference. Just can't be bothered with all this bling bling I'm gonna shoot ya s'hit. Especially if they ain't even from those ends. I ain't Gangsta, so I ain't gonna rep like that.

And 'The Marines', here's a little message. Eminem is s'hit. His first album was good, his second was ok, but he's just another Hip Hop pop, hyped out piece of s'hit. And no-one in the UK likes Dido, so don't assume just cos she's British that we'll rate her. Try listening to some UK Hip Hop before you start bigging up the played out s'hit that's comin from you Yanks. You were good in the eighties and nineties, but it's time for the UK to save Hip Hop now. F'uck off!!!
