Gotta work to make some money and then make it work for you, ‘Cos this slave’s life I live, $$$$, it just won’t do
I’m on a mission to better my position, to put money in the bank and food into the kitchen,
To pay for all my needs, my wants and desires, to get me a nice girlie and proceed to get higher,
And I ain’t no liar, I tell the truth in everything that I spit, most $$$got emcees lie, so I ain’t bumping their $$$$,
Why do you wanna talk about you knife and your guns, Cos if that’s how you wanna live your life, I’ve got some advice,

Throw down the drugs and get a business diploma, you need some money to start a business? There’ll be banks that can loan ya,
All the cash you need to set yourself up, there’s no need to think bad when you’re down on your luck,
From Peckham to New York, from L.A. to Brixton, young thugs will gang-bang, they need to just listen,
You not just mad at the system, you mad at yourself, that’s why you don’t care how the $$$$ you be making your wealth,
You must hate yourself, to run the streets with a gun, why don’t you slow down, you’re just young, just have fun,
Leave the death in this world to the sick and old, do you really wanna die for the money you hold?
Do you really wanna have your mother visit the morgue? Do you want her to see you lying dead, gone as stiff as board?
Do you want her to look at your face, and then have her say ‘Yes….. that is my son there,’ could she handle your death?
I guess no, but she might’ve had enough, you put her through so much $$$$, yo, her life has been rough,
Your mum will sacrifice for you almost everything, but every person has a limit, everyone wants to sing,
Do you really wanna cause her that much anguish? This evil, you must vanquish, have I got your attention? Am I speaking your language?
Are you ready to listen? Can you take this on board? Or do you wanna end up in prison? Is it in your head? Is it stored?
These are the questions that I ask, but only you have the answer, the way you live your life now, it’s more deadly than cancer,
Become the person you are, the person that you want to be, don’t ever let the hood hold you down, we’re all born to be free.
