Default A new song, EVERY day?

    1. Hello.
    2. Really good to be here.
    3. Today marks a monumental day in the history of sharing music via ukmusic.com. Allow me to explain.

I'm a London based teacher who, among other things, has spent a great deal of time honing his craft as a lyricist/ rapper/ spoken word artist/ call it what you will. Don't believe me? Ah well. You will.

The plan is: I shall post a new song online, every single day, until it's fairly undisputed that I am the world's best teacher forward slash rapper. And I do mean every, single, day. I'm already convinced. You might take some persuading.

Anyway, there it is. As soon as the first post is ready, I'll let you know.

    All the best,

    -Unseen Flirt

ps: debate is the fuel of creativity. Please feel free to share your thoughts, whether I'm W.O.A.H. (worthy of all hyperbole) or J.A.B.S (just a bit $$$$). I'd like to think I'm the former.

    Here's today's offering:

(Can't post links yet, so you'll have to find musicalflirtations.wordpress.com or go without. Your call.)

Enjoy! (and let me know of anyone else putting out a song a day. I'm pretty sure this little project makes me the hardest working teacher-rapper in the field of teacher-rapping)

As promised - a new day, a new song: 'Like Gatsby at Thirty'.Still can't post links up here (about 19 posts away from that momentous occasion) but you can find today's song at musicalflirtations.wordpress.com. Go google it.

    -Unseen Flirt

ps: The keen-eared among you will hear a Daft Dunk sample in there - I made this beat myself. It's fairly solid.

    Enjoy...

I go all out like it's Friday on this one. Still can't post links so you'll have to do the leg work and find musicalflirtations.wordpress.com.

    Enjoy.

(ps: as much as I'm enjoying this monologue feel free to interject. -Unseen)

    On with the lesson!!

Yeah, you can tell I'm a teacher 'cos I've reworked Jay-Z's 'On to the next one' into an ode to the rigours of teaching all day, every day. I'm still a stack of posts away from being allowed to post links (administrators - can we fix this?) so you'll have to search:

    musicalflirtations.wordpress.com

    Enjoy!

    Evening.

The journey continues with something which, if I may say so myself, is quite beautiful. A song I call 'Midwinter Spring', inspired by some seriously deep poetry by TS Eliot and set to some racing piano instrumentals. It's really, really good.

    Go find and enjoy.

I took the weekend off - so there are now three new songs for your listening pleasure. Including:
    A Kid Cudi remix
    A Lil Wayne remix
    Something original

you really must get involved. If you've scrolled down this far and you are still scanning - go find:

    musicalflirtations.wordpress.com

and listen. I really am convinced my MC skills are remarkable. (and not just for a teacher).

    Enjoy!

Another day, another post. With many more to come.

Today (unfortunately) is an ode to Gok Wan. Purely for jokes. I've performed this one live at a spoken word event and the audience took it uber-seriously. Not sure how that went down, but I found it funny.

Make sure you have a listen to other stuff on the blog - I've been posting one a day for what seems like ages now.

    As ever, enjoy.

    Hello!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm based in North London, teach in West. Have done a few spoken word performances recently, which is as far as live gigs go (so far). Remedy Raw at the Ben Oakley Gallery in Greenwich was the last one. Watch this space for upcoming 'dates'. In the meantime, have a look at my recent poetry mixtape EP, BRIDGES, freely available on my blog homepage somewhere. It's really good.

    Right then, back to marking.

    All the best,

    -Unseen
