I agree foals are wicked. A friend of mine has been raving about mamas gun for ages-think she saw them at Soho review a couple of weeks back. Myspace stuff is sounding quality especially the 'House On A Hill'.

I'm looking forward to hearing more from a Liverpool band called The Steeples who have been tipped 'ones to watch' www.myspace.com/thesteeplesmusic

Also loving a South African band called The Parlotones who are signed to Universal and am expecting big things for them this year. www.myspace.com/theparlotones

The Steeples sound pretty decent actually, Liverpool seems be churning out a few decent bands recently, aren't Hot Club de Paris (?) from about there. And everyone knows the Coral, forgotten the other one's name.........

The Congo Faith Healers are a pretty good bunch, their live show is amazing, still suprised no one has picked them up yet, abit Gorgol Bordello (?) but without the tashe...... www.myspace.com/thecongofaithhealers

The Pistolas are definately worth a listen - www.myspace.com/thepistolas.
I tries to get them signed to the label i used to work for, if they don't snap them up i might have to form my own record label myself! Should be big this year

You know what you're talking about. Pistolas are definitely up there for this year. They've had some good press coverage so far as well. Just checked out the congofaithhealers and I like! I see what you mean by the Gorgol Brodello comparison (maybe with a 70s twist) and they have a harmonica player! Love it.

I know The Coral are from Liverpool but for the life of me I can't think of anyone except of course Le Beatles. I think the Steeples are signed to Liverpool's main Inde label Easy Money Records- just checked the website and they have a few good acts to look out for and a girl called Jade Gallagher who is STUNNING!

It has to be The Script. They're an up-and-coming band from Ireland, well worth a look http://audiotube.com/file/2771-the-script-we-cry.html
Love it! xx

Enjoyed that! Can I also recommend Royworld, these guys look set for big things judging by the camden crawl gig

http://www.youtube.com/user/royworldband there is a download available as well that the band are promoting, and a good daft punk mash up!
