Have You Got Your Tickets For The SW4 Weekender?

August may seem like months away, but summer is closing in fast, and that means only one thing, Festival Season! One event happening in London in 2010, and celebrating it’s 7th Birthday is SW4, one of the best inner city dance festivals, which for the first time runs over a whole weekend!

If you’ve not got your tickets for this event yet, then maybe we need to fill you in on a few details to tempt you along. This years event takes place on Clapham Common, on the 28th and 29th August, and promises four music stages featuring a host of top dance acts, dance labels, and DJ’s, global food, and the ability to catch the last train/tube home (should you wish). The team behind the event have also got together with local hotels to offer discounted rates to festival goers over the weekend.

All this and more to ensure everyone has a great time at the festival, but what music will you be dancing along to I hear you cry? Well, just announced this week is the hero of electronica music, Sasha, who will be playing a set on Saturday 28th, alongside headliner Armin Van Buuren, who will be showcasing a new album at the event. With a reputation as one of the worlds best DJ’s, and popular remixes for artists like The Killers selling well, this is sure to be a set to remember. Other acts appearing on the 28th include Josh Wink and John Digweed in the Bedrock Arena, the legendary Judge Jules and Paul Oakenfold in the Gallery Arena, with Mark Knight and Dirty South gracing the Toolroom Knights Arena.

On Sunday 29th, Fatboy Slim will take over headline duties on the main-stage, while Carl Cox and his friends, including Dubfire, Vitalic, and V Mirror, will take over the second stage. Meanwhile the third stage will be taken over by Boys Noize Records, who boast Switch, A-Trak, and Shadow Dancer among their line-up. Last but by no means least, Sunday 29th also has the Together Arena, featuring appearances by Ms Dynamite, and Mary Anne Hobbs, along with Scream and Benga.

If that isn’t enough to get your dancing shoes on, then there will soon be further special guest and main-stage line-up announcements too, along with details of all the other attractions available to entertain you over the festival. It’s a lot to pack into one field, but it’s sure to be a lot of fun!
