exclamation Oi, idiots!

At least it got your attention - unlike the last few posters who have joined your "community". No doubt I will be banned, shortly, for expressing a negative opinion, but wtf is the point in having an "Introduce yourself" section, if no one uses it? To be fair to the regulars, only losers generally waste their time saying $$$$ like, "hi, look at me", rather than just joining in or starting an actual discussion - but some people aren't as "outgoing" (cough) as you lot, and need a bit of encouragement to feel able to contribute.

So... Hi all new people who got ignored! welcome to, er, wherever.

After consulting my Twat-to-English dictionary, I see you're moaning about my moaning. I expect the irony of that escapes you.

You do know this isn't a dating site, right? No matter how impressive your music tastes are.

It's NOT!!! :/

Thanks for the post...friendly bunch aren't they?

Soz about hijacking you're thread, but I'd hate to waste bandwidth on such a lively forum.

A bit more about me before I'm snowed under in an avalanche of overwhelming welcomes.

Play guitar...was in a band many moons ago.
Got a few plays on a local radio station, got excited for a few weeks just before the whole thing turned to $$$$.

Looking to pick up some recommendations from some of the members here.
It has to be new, original and a change from the norm.

Please, nothing generic...

EDIT: It didn't really turn to dollars (I wish) bizzare censorship at play.
What I meant to say was...it turned to shit.

perhaps we're not doing it right, RIC. maybe there's some secret hand gesture we're missing. i've tried a few combinations of middle finger and w-a-n-k-e-r but nothing doing.

you hijack away. it's nice to find someone on this dating site who wants to talk about music.

No small achievement in Manchester - where the A&R scouts hang round the maternity wards. Airtime does seem to make or break a lot of bands, i notice. shame.

I am ever wary of imposing my tastes in music on others - not least because it's so eclectic and music taste is something so personal. i have you tube nights with mates (if i sound like i have no life, that's because i have no life) where we fire off vids to each other and get opinions - i actually get a lot out of those nights. maybe we should start a youtube thread.

Heh. a victim of their censorship myself, i sympathise.

What a damn good idea. But then - judging by the current setup - it would probably have to split into 4 sections: urban/pop/dance/rock YT.
Arf.

Scottish lass here.
