'What you see ain’t what you get cause im deeper then the rest’
That’s how 23 year old Mista Envy would describe himself.
Mista Envy is a deep, complex, meanful character who express
His opinions and points of views through his creative work.
From an early age Mista Envy has always been writing, whatever it be stories‘, song’s, poetry, play’s, rap’s or MC’s.
‘Once I put pen to paper my word’s flow natural and easy, my mind is my microphone, my visions connect to what I write in front of me’
With his creative ability Mista Envy has gained respect from those who know him, his work has also gained recognition among his peer’s, he can add awards and certificates amongst his achievements.
With his green with envy look, Mista Envy has been singed up by a modelling and acting agency
‘I love acting, it’s a form of escapism, as a writer myself I love getting in to character, researching their life style and history and exploring their personality’
But Mista Envy’s main love and passion has always been music
‘I write from the heart, subject’s that mean something to me, such as racism, homophobia, stereotypes, ageism, sexism, war, violence, street life, bullying, drug’s, love, hate, reality and dream’s.
My mind is always buzzing with new idea’s, its an addiction, and once a piece of work is complete I get such a natural high, it’s like looking at my very own master piece’
But with great talent and a unique look come’s the bad press and negativity whatever it be from two faced, jealous people or just people who want to hate.
‘People want to hate on me because I’ve got opinions and have the confidence and fact’s to back them up. I remember entering some rather out spoken comment’s on a particular forum once, my comment’s were extreme in the sense of it was taboo to say it on this particular site, un suprinsly the backlash was huge, but I was happy that I got my voice out there, im here to be heard, I’ve got a lot of valid thing’s to say which I express in my work’
Despite this negativity Mista Envy continues to express how he feel’s, his no nonsense, deep yet real approach make him stand out from the crowd, in a scene full of fake’s, followers and ordinary people Mista Envy is a breath of fresh air.
‘Negativity movites me, it give’s me the energy and inspiration to create even better work, but as far as my personal life is concerned I haven’t got no time for drama or hate’
And the best way to sum up how Mista Envy feel’s about this negative attention is best described in a lyric in one of his song’s.
