People who tag their names... hmmm... can't really call that art. In my mind that's just vandalism and it looks lame. But some grafitti work I've seen has been amazing and there are clearly some talented grafitti artists about.

But scrawling on public buildings is wrong. I think dedicated areas should be set aside for grafitti art. Like memorial plaques etc.

^^ Id Have To Say Im One Of Those That Tags Their Name, Used To Anyway, Aint Done It Lately. Got My Tag In The Paper & Everything! I Did It For The Crime Factor Tho, Aint Got The Patience To Do Those Massive Ones That U Could Call Art.

Graffitti doesnt necessarily have to be vandalism.

I was outside Camden market the other day and saw that someone has 'graffitied' the ground. However, this was done with a twist. Someone has used a stencil of Coldcut (i assume to promote their new single) but instead of actually 'graffitiing', they have power washed the ground.
Essentially, they've 'cleaned' the ground instead of 'graffitiing' ( i assume with a water power jet). Because the ground is so filthy it looks like graffitti - pretty cool. Have spoken to a friend whos seen a couple outside Cargo in shoreditch too.

near my house, they did this 'aerosol mural' thing where they had kids making the subways look better.they do a new one every year,all for preventing crime.

I agree totally! There was this door in france that was gaffitied and it looked goregous but when done wrong it looks mindless.
