Preston's biggest beer festival - five days of great beer, great music in a large marquee outside, and great food at The Continental... We're still finalising the details, but here's the itinerary so far:
Food: All weekend we'll be serving various barbequed treats in addition to our usual menu - perfect fuel for a night (or day) of strenuous beer drinking.
Thursday 30th April, 6pm until Midnight - The opening day. Get down early for a first taste of the 100+ beers we've got on offer. Musical entertainment comes to us from smooth jazz trumpeter Nick Holme, who'll be rolling out the standards to help the beer slip down even easier...
Friday 1st May, Midday until Midnight - All-day beer 'tasting', music in the marquee and cracking hot food from the barbeque. Plus the kitchen will be open lunchtime and in the evening as normal, serving up the usual excellent fare to soak up the ale. Music line-up for the marquee to be confirmed over the next few days.
Saturday 2nd May, Midday until Midnight - dust yourselves off from Friday and head back down again - we're sure you won't have been able to get through all the beer on offer... Music line-up for the marquee to be confirmed over the next few days.
Sunday 3rd May, Midday until Midnight - what better way is there to spend bank holiday than enjoying a few glasses of delicious beer in the sunshine? Check out the beers you missed over the past few days, nurse your hangover and prepare for the final leg of the festival on Bank Holiday Monday. Music line-up for the marquee to be confirmed over the next few days.
Monday 4th May, Midday until the beer runs out - It's May Day, so come down and help us finish off the last few beers in the traditional style...
The glasses have arrived, the barbeque has arrived and the last few barrels are being rolled into the beer hall... see you all there on Thursday.
