Carling has teamed up with Liverpool based label Deltasonic to showcase local music talent as THE ZUTONS headline The Deltasonic Records Christmas Party on Saturday 22nd December 2007.

With a musical history that includes The Cavern Club, Cream and The Beatles, there’s no surprise that Carling chose Liverpool as the first host for Carling Local.

Deltasonic have taken local acts The Coral, The Dead 60s and Little Flames to a national audience and provide the perfect partner for a night of great entertainment. The 1,200 capacity Carling Academy Liverpool is a hub for music in the region and has played host to many of the best live nights 2007 has had to offer - Carling Local will be no exception.

Headliners THE ZUTONS are undoubtedly Merseyside’s biggest export since The Beatles and Carling Local sees them return to their home crowd for a Christmas present the city won’t forget. Support from local bands THE RASCALS, THE SUZUKIS, CANDIE PAYNE and TIGERPICKS will showcase the next generation of Liverpool music. With special guest compere COLIN MURRAY (BBc RADIO ONE) and sets from exclusive guest DJs to keep the party going until the early hours, Carling Local promises to be a night not to be missed.
