Xbox360 game recommendations

Haven't been playing in quite a while, but looking for some Xbox360 game recommendations: my favorite game ever was Doom for the original Xbox. Can anyone recommend some good current games in a similar style (if there are any)?

I don't know what sort of style Doom is. I'm not a big fan of first person shooters, I prefer third person style games...although I don't play the xbox very often.

but I can honestly say one of my favourite games has to be Splinter Cell conviction. Single and 2 player options, third person, fantastic graphics and game play. I love it.

Another I've played recently that I've enjoyed is Alan Wake. Check them out :-)

Since you stated that you have been playing Doom for a while, so I guess the best choice now is Call of Duty: Black Ops. Hope that helps!
