rejectbeats presents DJ Heist and Jay Stewart live at the Sky Rooms in Colchester.

This collection of DJ’s will be throwing down the tunes in a way that Colchester has come to know, but is far from used to.
• Hot on the heels of their success’s of 2008 rejectbeats pushes the boat out and brings two headline acts, plus support from two of the South Easts Finest Alternative DJ’s to Colchester.
• Still a resident of his home town of Colchester, Heist has been established as a DJ for over thirteen years and started producing tracks five years ago.
• As a producer, he has released music on a variety of labels including MetalHeadz, Full Cycle, Co Lab, and Grid to name but a few.
• Continually delivering quality tunes, he has become one of the names to know in the industry and has impressed the likes of Goldie, Krust, TC, L Double and Sappo and many more.
• Recently Heist has been working on a variety of new collaborations and remixes, perhaps making this stage in his vocation the most exciting and productive yet. These include a remix for perhaps one of the biggest legendary musicians from his day Ian Brown (of Stone Roses fame) called Illegal Attack.
• Heist 's biggest achievement came in 2007 when he produced Goldies latest album Malice In Wonderland.
• On heavy rotation with many DJ’s and played on Kiss and Radio 1 this is one DJ not to be missed live.
• Jay Stewart has been involved in music from the age of ten. He is a talented Jazz/Funk drummer who is very passionate about fat beats and funky grooves.
• After 3 years in the breakbeat scene Jay is still a fresh face and his sound is certainly making an impact among some top DJ's. With people like the ‘Plump DJ’s using his tunes for a mix mag CD. Jay has just signed on to Breakin Even Records and the future looks very bright, so catch him before he blasts off.
• To see one major act in Colchester is fantastic but to catch two on the same night just shows the commitment rejectbeats has to bringing the freshest new talent in the UK to Essex.
• rejected is as much a visual treat as an audio pleasure with impressive lighting effects and of course the weird & wonderful video creations of VJ, Psycho Monkey on a 12ft screen.
