Mark Greville band play In The City showcase on 29th October in Manchester

Liverpool based Mark Greville Band has won a place to play at 'in the City' acoustic showcase at the bar 'm19' in South Manchester. The special gig is part of 'In the City' the international music conference and New Bands showcase in Manchester. He plays the New Music showcase sponsored by Music website www.24rockfest.com on Sunday 29th October along with a number of award winning acts.


Mark said "Manchester has a reputation for unearthing and exposing the latest up and coming music talent. The Manchester Music showcase at the M19 is in conjunction with 'In the City', a fabulous opportunity for musicians and the second largest music convention in Europe. It's famous for catapulting great bands and artistes such as Coldplay, Kaiser Chiefs and Keane in to the public eye and of course South Manchester's Oasis!


BBC Radio 1 are the media sponsors of this years 'In the City' and will be broadcasting acts live on the radio and on the net. The festival attracts record companies from all over the world to the city in the hope of signing the next world-conquering super group. Success stories include ‘Oasis’, 'Kaiser Chief's', 'Keane', 'Badly Drawn Boy', ‘Coldplay’, 'The Darkness', 'Placebo', 'Kula Shaker' and 'Muse'.
