Default Lowlifes Bill Brewster at Better Days Disco Basement Party (Hackney)

The legend that is Bill Brewster will be gracing the wheels of steel at our next party on may 17th .

Bill, as you are probably aware, throws the legendary Lowlife parties and has agreed to caress your lugholes with all manner of blissed out disco and house.

A veteran of the 80's New York block parties, Bill is also the co-author of the definitive account of dance music 'Last Night A DJ Saved My Life' and will be bringing a cacophony of mellifluous melodies to the Better Days dancefloor.

All this skullduggery will take place in a seedy basement in the heart of Hackney.

Melange Social Club
281 Kingsland Road, Hackney, E2 8AS

See you there....

>>>>>> IMPORTANT: VENUE CHANGE <<<<<<<

Yes, yet again dark forces try to thwart our attempts to throw a party. This time it's the owner of Ruby's shutting the place down and suing the management. Not cosy. But it takes more than that to stop us boys. Over the road from Ruby's, up nearer the canal, is the famed Melange Social Club...and we're in the basement. The very same basement which initially inspred us to start Better Days, in fact. Even sleazier than ever. So it's all good. And it's open til 7am...with live bands upstairs, too.

The venus is unlicenced, so bring your own booze from the offy next door.

We are expecting this to be rammed so it is guest list only now.

Thanks to everyone who turned up, especially after all the venue changes the past week. Ironically, everything went relatively smoothly on the night. Which was a blessed relief.....

Bill did a cracking 3 hour set, going off in all musical directions. A lovely eclectic mix. Cheers Bill x

And big kisses to Steve Titmus from 3D Music who got the crowd nicely warmed up for Bill with some dirty disco flavour.

See you all next time

X
