Go!Zilla has long since established itself as a home for debuts, experiments and new collaborations in sound. Tackling the merging genres of modern contemporary music each guest has an edge and each event brings new revelations.

The March party at Cargo unites The Robert Owens Band for the first time in an World debut exclusive performance. Robert Owens became one of the figures most associated with the late-'80s golden era of Chicago house. Born in Ohio in 1961, he grew up singing in the church and later formed Fingers Inc alongside Larry Heard and Ron Wilson. In his 20 year career he has been responsible for countless classic productions including 'Can You Feel It', 'Tears', 'I'll Be Your Friend' and more recently 'Mine to Give' and 'Walk a Mile in my Shoes'. His velvety voice has become one of the most instantly recognised and best-loved in Dance. This month sees the release of his debut album 'Night Time Stories' on Compost Records, bringing collaboratations with Wahoo, Jimpster, Atjazz and Charles Webster amongst others.

The Robert Owens Band is a 5 piece which features fellow Chicago native Dan Berkson on keys, James What tweaking the drums and electronics plus a live percussionist and guitarist - an essential live House band - expect to hear all your favourite classics plus some choice cuts from the new album. The band take to the stage at 10.30pm so make sure you get down early.

Next on the bill is the ever dynamic Luke Solomon, a crucial player in the development of the UK / London House scene. His contributions to the industry are countless with productions under various monikers, turning his hand to numerous genres throughout and leaving his print on the seminal labels Classic and his own Music For Freaks. His ability as a producer matures with each record and this has never been so evident as on his new artist album ‘The Difference Engine’ on Rekids, a perfect blend of samples, sounds and effects. It seemed more than fitting to invite Luke to play alongside Robert, once again, joining the London Chicago dots.

In live support, we hand the stage over to Detachments for a tasty early live show from them. Recently formed and signed to Thisisnotanexit Records, there is already a massive buzz around this act, with taste makers such as Andrew Weatherall and Ivan Smagghe seemingly falling over themselves to help the guys out / sign them up. Aloof Technoid Disco-Punk with a House edge is the order of the day here. We also welcome label boss Simon A. Carr to the turntables in support.

Resident James Priestley will also be manning the controls who's recent track 'The Source', co-produced with Dan Berkson, out now on Simple Records was recently awarded the accolade of 'Record Of The Week' at London's finest record emporium, Phonica.

With loads of big DJs in town over the Easter weekend, Go!Zilla at Cargo will prove to be the place to be for that intimate PARTY vibe, expect superior music as always and a memorable evening.
