Default Festival in Birmingham, looking for something completely different???

If you are looking for something completely different from a music festival - you've found it. Rootsville will be weird -have no doubt- but utterly wonderful.

Consider: a huge stage jammed in-between a massive victorian railway arch with A 40k Martin Audio Line Array, complete with 12sqm of LED video wall and stunning lighting rig, being set ablaze by incinerating performances from THE PRESETS, KUBICHEK! and the INSPIRAL CARPETS.

Or the chance to be stunned by the hypnotic rythyms of world music godfathers OSIBISA - assuming you survive the wrecking ball onslaught of THE DESTROYERS combining with the earth shattering DHOLBLASTERS - ALL on the Lakeside stage.

Or what about this, where else could you spend 6 hours being entertained by masterful musicians and MOBO award winners like SOWETO KINCH, and local legend STEVE GIBBONS- to say nothing of the young ZULU WARRIORS - ABSOLUTELY FREE.

Unbelievably at ROOTSVILLE, from midday to 6pm the programme is entirely free, only after 6pm do you pay £15(if you are one of the first 500 ticket buyers £20 if not).

To complete the picture we obviously have all the festival trimmings -stalls,films,dance exhibitions, poetry, kid's entertainment(until 6pm)etc.

AND OF COURSE from 6 -9pm we are doing a £1.50 drinks promotion.

ROOTSVILLE -OF, BY AND FOR THE PEOPLE.
