All we can say is WOW!!!!!
What a launch party! We couldn't have dreamed for a better start.
We'd like to send a big thanks to all of you that came down to our launch at Plan B. We were amazed by the turn out, and Dennis Ferrer totally rocked it, giving us a night we won't forget.
We promised you a quality line-up every month, so for our next night we've got Alix Alvarez from SOLE Channel Music, and Franck Roger from Real Tone Records coming down.
Hailing from the Bronx, New York, Alix's bio speaks for itself. Assistant engineer in Louie Vega and Kenny Dope's own MAW studio...could you ask for a better apprenticeship into house!!! Alix has gone from selling his mix tapes on the streets, to running his own record label in SOLE Channel with his partner Mr V. He has produced classic tracks like 'Rising into Joy' in 2002, co-produced 'Deep (house music)' in 2004, and more recently the massive 'Da Bump'.
Alix has collaborated with names such as Osunlade, Mood II Swing, Malena Perez, and our other special guest Franck Roger.
Parisian Franck has to be one of the hardest working guys in deep house. He has produced over 40 tracks for quality labels such as Kenlou (a MAW label), BBE, Defected, and King Street US to name a few. He is a versatile dj, that can go from soulful, to disco, to bumpy afro beats, and do it so smooth you won't even notice the music's changing.
With strong support abroad from the likes of Louie Vega, Frankie Feliciano, Ron Trent, Osunlade, DJ Spinna, Francois K, and in his native France from DJ Deep, and DJ Gregory, Franck can now express himself freely and is now exploring different horizons open to him by collaborating with artists like Alix Alvarez.
Having produced tracks together, and performed together, you know Alix and Franck are gonna put on a great show, and have some fun at the same time. You won't wanna miss this!!!
