Babalou is a fantastic new bar/club/restaurant in the heart of Brixton

Situated in the subterranian vaults of St Matthews Church (under Mass), the space has been totally transformed to make Babalou the perfect environment for some serious 'adult' entertainment - the finest fine dining in the area, award winning $$$$tails served right through 'till 6am, and a musical mix of the very best house/electro & disco from simply the greatest DJs on the London scene.

Babalou is situated in the heart of Brixton, set in a Crypt of a converted church.
Formerly known as the Bug Bar and now recently refurbished, it features original crypt architecture, North African style lamps, sturdy wooden tables and sumptuous velvet booths.

This warm and welcoming venue is ideal for a perfect night out where you can Wine, Dine and Dance till the early hours! Babalou Bar has a capacity of 500 with a 5am licence - South Londons premier and newest club/restaurant and bar all in one.

The venue has recently held the BBC world music awards, currently used as a film location for the ITV's The Bill and have hosted the Artic Monkeys aftershow party. Ideal for corporate events, showcases, filming, photo-shoots, music videos and private parties.
