MOOCH!N with Jafar and Craig Walsh!
After a cracking start to 2007,
Moochin now head back to the Rhythm Factory, home of so many legendary Moochin
moments, to bring some of the most talented DJs, producers and musicians in the UK house music scene.
In February we welcome
Jafar, who has been DJing for the last 13 years, taking in tours of
Malaysia, LA, Chicago,
Russia, Canada and many more! This man has just been made resident of the
Ministry of Sound parties in NYC, and
when he is back in London he is resident of Ben Watt's Neighbourhood club, spinning alongside the likes of
Derrick Carter,
Kerri Chandler, Franck Roger, Marshall Jefferson.... you get the picture - the man has stuck with his sound through thick
and thin! Jafar is the head honcho of
Kwaito Recordings and
Artizan Music, with releases on both these and
Plastic Fantastic, 4bit and Hustle.
In addition to the solo recordings, he tours with an 8 piece band called
Poetiquette, and has an album out with them
next year. The original resident/ director of
Mulletover with Geddes, Jafar left to concentrate on establishing his
labels with the solid, reputable releases we have come to know them for, but also continues to run several of his own events,
including the infamous
Hasslehoff Scandal parties (yes, he brought the Hoff to a London clubnight!) and Brixton's
Substance with Trevor Fung. Jafar will be playing a special 3 turntable set at Moochin, and he doesn't believe in CDs
or laptops, instead prefering to get busy keymatching, layering, cutting, chopping, scratching, beat-juggling and most of
all,
jackin HARD! His motto is "If you don't sweat, it ain't a set!" haha!

push house music forward in the 21st Century! Present and forthcoming releases are getting smashed all over the globe by DJs
such as
Jesse Rose, Trevor Loveys, Herve, Lee Mortimer, The Crookers, HiJack and many more! He will take the last
couple of hours of Moochin into that
Jackin Tech territory that most of you downloaded from me the other day
