Yankee Zulu - "Head Bob" - Out Wednesday June 18th on Beatport
Yankee Zulu returns with his long awaited follow up to his EP "Good For You" with "Head Bob". It open's with harsh techno beats and static and then shows YZ's trademark wonky face by dropping a large portion of sickness! IDJ Magazine says "beats as strong as this deserve more than a mere headbob. In fact, anything less than a karate-style kick dance would be rude!...this is Yanke Zulu at his hardest."
First up on the remix is US house music legend Hipp-e who turns in a mix that will surely cause some shock. For those of you expecting deepness look away now! Hipp-E delivers some dark-ass'd tribal action, that comes with a bassline that kicks hard enough to wake to the dead!!
The second remix comes from Worthy which see's him tip a load of bass into the mixer and match it with some marching beats. This is more on the minimal side for Worthy, but with his signature dirty rolling bass sounds.
Reactions:
Carl Cox– “Very strong release. Hipp E mix needs to be heard loud - nice suprise!”
Yousef – ““Nasty ass! Original is best but all are good.”
Mason – “Worthy did a killer remix job. The guy is on fire!!”
Laidback Luke– ““Sounds great! With a little Steve Angello feel in the beat and getting crazy after the break will work for me!”
