LMAO @ all of you.

Music shouldn't be about race, nationality or sexuality. Anyone can listen to any music, and what one person defines as good might be considered totally $$$$ by another.

Music should unite and not exclude people.

And what is soul? It's only something your mind perceives, and different minds perceive things differently. Learn to understand that other people like different things and hold different beliefs.

But its like u saw the 'colour' words, got it in ur mind that this was a racist post, and didnt even tackle the truth of it. Did u?

if u find "hard trance" and "hard techno glowsticks e pills hard house" soulful, then u need to fall off that platform in ur avatar and make sure u get minced underneath a nice juicy london tube.

See, the question is: is that a good or bad "LMAO?"

As for Soul, Joe...it's hard to tangibly describe. How about I substitute the word "funk?" I think the definition lends itself more to "funkiness" than an "emotional outpouring from the soul."

the only problem i have with Joe's comment is that it's as CONTRADICTORY as it is TRUE.

it's all about interpretation. yes music should not be about race. and if it's not about race to you, then it's not. but if it is about race and religion or sex or any other thing to the next guy, then guess what....it is about all of that stuff.

music should unite, and it does. but it also segregates and seperates.

right or wrong.

some people who seem to show the highest appreciation for intelligent and challenging and artistic expression through music may just rip a person that finds nothing but blissful joy out of what others consider to be mindless soulless music.

to me, that's more offensive than someone attaching race to music.

my house music has a gay stigma attached to it by many here in the US. I'm a straight male....that doesn't care about the stigma.

Damn. Quote of the day.

As am I. Simply making an observation about the average American's attitude toward House......

I should have worded that better.

What I was getting at is that there's no harm in different people, whoever and wherever they are, liking different things.

And having our own opinions is not a problem as long as we respect the opinions of others.
