Default Undereducated Music Goers... Help Save Our Scene

I’m over myspace at the moment and wanted to check out forums around the world to see what’s crackin… I have this thought in my head about the Top DJ’s and who deserves to really be there… I know we all love our Sasha and our Diggers they have contributed to our scene in a million ways! What I can’t understand is all the $$$$$$$s about Tiesto, PVD and Armin. I am not a hater nor am I trying to be I just feel that if we don’t start supporting our DJ/Producers that we believe in then trance will stay at the top of the charts until I’m 60!

I think all the peeps that listen to these trance djs are pumped full of E (not dissin E do me self) and are under educated in music knowledge all they care about is the pierce that pins the soul when they’re rollin ballz… This is all fun for an hour or two but I think its time we the old school start educating each other and ourselves.

I am up for change in our dance community. Lets make it a mission to teach one another and ourselves a new thing about music each week. Things like counting beats, BPM, Pitch Control, producers, synth you name it… all these things I just mention have a meaning and I think it’s time to teach! Maybe if we can educate our scene then we can see dope producers/djs raise to the top… I know it’s a long shot but I am up for it.

Anyone have any ideas other than saying this will never work?

This post can be about clever ways to help teach others about music or cool things we taught ourselves the week.

I DJ here and there so I know how to count beats but I just moved a world away and I need to get my ears back under the cans.

My goal this week is to count beats and phrases in my new favorite tune “Chasin A Feeling” Quivver (just released yesterday on beatport) Then I will pass the knowledge on to a mate and so on…

Just trying to live the secret xx
Think outside of the box… what do you got?
