| btw, just so you know Jena, et al...this is actually a forum to discuss US Garage...the genre...not people from the US who play UK Garage...
Anyway, keep it going on. |

| I'll keep it going on....
Productions themselves are kinda lacking....there are a few that have produced some decent stuff (Abstract, Goldspot, Mundo, E:Trinity), but they're fairly few (no offense to TS, I'm just not really into the droning bassline ragga Horsepoweresque stuff I've heard of his). On the other hand, it seems to me that the American UKG DJs are actually much more talented than a good lot of the ones that are big in the UK. Back at Starscape, Oron actually had the cleanest set of the night and there were some pretty big names there. I don't think I've ever heard a cleaner and livelier live set than some of the sets I've heard Greg Poole drop, and I-Dris is actually a better MC than most of the British ones I've seen...
Either way, this set seems to fit in with that trend.....good stuff.
(btw, if I kiss enough ass, do I get a spot on the US UKG showcase down at WMC next year teehee) |

| Just to stay on point ... I produce stuff that is considered Garage and I'm in the US, so that is US Garage, right? :-) I know, I know, you mean the Soulful house stuff that was played in Paradise Garage and spawned a new trend in house music. So confusing ;-)
Besides, when I DJ I usually mix in some US stuff with the UK Garage, i.e. Todd Edwards, Todd Terry, MAW, Armand Van Helden, etc ... it's all Garage to me. | “ | no offense to TS, I'm just not really into the droning bassline ragga Horsepoweresque stuff I've heard of his. | ” | |
No offense taken Brickhouse ... I do like the Horsepower stuff, but I also produce 4x4 things as well. Actually, I've been working on more deep house sounding things lately as I'm kind of burnt out on the harder breakbeat stuff as well. Check the mix Jena posted the link to on EastCoastHappy and hear for yourself where I'm at these days. Constant change ...
