DKS is our latest addition to the Spin Out roster and we’re sure you won’t be disappointed by what he has to deliver. Long term friend of Spin Out Dan Smith a.k.a. DKS (Sic Label Owner) has been working hard on his productions and to great effect!! Completing a degree in Music Production at the Academy of Contemporary Music and working in various studios mastering other peoples work, his knowledge of production is vast and his affinity for making kick-arse dance music is huge.

DKS’ ‘Lick My Synth’ subtly starts with chord stabs, bongo beats and white noise risers until the slammin vocal slices through the frequencies and then lets the bass do the talking. The full fat throbbing bass, that you can feel wobbling every part of your body, gets you grooving in no time then upon the first break the track evolves into something a lot bigger, the addition of another bass melody and extra stabs expands the sound to ‘blow your speakers’ levels. It’s no over yet though, after the second break, with its highly intense build incorporating acid house beeps and sweeps, it drops you back to that solid groove from earlier to keep you grooving to the end of the track.

Justin Robertson provides us with the first remix on this release. This man doesn’t need too much of an introduction, his extensive works within the industry span over many years and many genres and we’re excited to have such a prestigious man working with us. His remix keeps the odd guitar riff rolling with an upbeat groove and goes down more of the electro vibe than the original. Justin has incorporated some very cool sounds and melodies to progress the remix which will be sure to keep those electro heads happy – check it!

2’s Company are a London based production and DJing duo making a serious dent on the underground scene. This track is bouncy, grooving, clean and right up the techno/tech house street. The bassline pulsates from start to finish and with the addition of some sexy percussion this is a track that any human cannot stand still too, be sure to listen to this one at high volumes!

Last but not least on the remixes we have Future Funk Squad providing us with a breakbeat version. This remix is diiiiirty from the start and builds up nicely to drop into a full on filth fest. Distorted guitar sounds and saw basslines floating around all over the place creating a dark and dirty track that wouldn’t be out of place on a ‘Blade’ movie. Make sure you lock the kids away when you listen to this as it’s likely to give them nightmares.
