James Harcourt ‘Galia Melon’

Spin Out continues its assault on House and Breaks with another stormer set to drop on the 4th of June following on from their massive release ‘This Town’ from Surrey-based live dance act Subsource. The new offering comes from Twisted Frequency’s own James Harcourt and is another diverse package with something for every DJ. Its already been a big year for James with successful releases such as ‘Tease’ and ‘Arachnofunk’ and ‘Galia Melon’ is sure to be just as big.

The Original is a melodic track which builds from the second it starts. It starts with a simple riff and slowly grows into the first breakdown with a subtlety that brings the track up to a peak before you know whats hit you and as soon as it drops it’s a real (forgive us) hands in the air moment. After the first build the track really comes into its stride with a great groove that takes you all the way to the finish line.

The first remix comes courtesy of hot property from down under a la Aston Shuffle. They’re already signed to Ministry Australia and with huge remixes for Malente and Chris Lake already under their belt this year they are set for big things. They’ve put their inimitable style on this remix which comes banging in with their trademark bouncy bassline. The tweeks and bleeps come in and take the bouncing to a new level, and spits it back out the other side in an entirely new direction. A full-on track from start to finish this is one for any peak-time Electro set. You can’t help but smile and run STRAIGHT to the dancefloor.

The second remix comes from a name you may not have heard in awhile, Lee Coombs, and this is his first remix since he’s emigrated to America and take it from us, its worth the wait. Taking a step out from his normal role in Breaks, he turns in a growling remix which oozes class and even verges on a minimal tip. This remix is all about the journey, and its got one of the biggest builds in Spin Out history complete with acid squelching filters and a filthy undertone throughout, this is a track that will destroy any dancefloor.
