Default R.I.P. Strictly Rhythm?

I just got word that Strictly Rhythm has shut down. Can anyone confirm?

If so, a sad, sad day.

this is kinda true. last week i spoke wiv a friend from a local shop and he told me that Strictly Rythym won't be putting out much soulful stuff except represses.
I think I mentioned a tick of this in a nother thread on here. Warner (WEA) has the label under its wing now and i think they will release accesible fraff.

Yep, confirmed today by a producer friend of mine.

Basically, Strictly Rhythm wasn't putting out much, and they weren't pumping a lot of money into production. Sounds like a lot of industry people were saying it was just a matter of time before they went belly-up.

Oh well. There's always memories and represses.....

I'm not so sad that one of the weakest House labels shut down. Strictyl lost it's leading position thru the last years and most recent releases were pure poo.

Better keep it in mind for all the classic stuff now than seeing more releases that make me cry for what a way a leading label went to the very down.

BTW most of my faves are on the blue labeled ones - they should have done more of them.

Hardrive-Deep Inside 1993 can you believe!!!

and Black Magic-Freedom

two amazing tunes from an amazing label.

morillio pulled it through back in the day, shame it couldn't be around today.

I missed getting the strictly srink wrapped import.

RIP

George Morel Let's Groove - that is a bad ass mother fu*@ker of a tune,

I remember hearing this for the first time on a Strictly Rhythm mix tape I got free with DJ mag - many many moons ago!(think I was 16/17) I'm 31 now! Had some classics on it, Erick Morillo - Dancin & Underground Soluti.. Luv Dancin? - wicked

just downloaded it this new site I found trax2burn.com - they have the whole back catalogue available , all at 320bps sounds awesome on my system at home.

the whole catalogue is available here:
