Default NEED SOME USG 1991-1996 TUNES

Lately, I been feeling tunes like Gypsey Woman (rmbr that?) and one tune I heard once but cant find anywhere (erm, on kazaa... ) Bobby Brown - My perogative (house mix) - everytime I DL it, its the RNB mix!

Peeps like Todd Terry Im feeling too.

Anyway, if anyone knows tunes on this kinda vibe, pls tell me some names...is USG still like this (Not Disco House with that same snaredrum! Im talkin about banging soulful US Garage).

To answer your question is US garage still like this then the answers is NO. The area of tunes you mention (Todd Tery stuff etc) were around when the style was in the early stages of being used by the pioneering DJ's in the UKG scene and it didn't matter so much as to what genre the tunes come from. Fast forward a few years and everything has split and there is plenty of variation within the HOUSE & US GARAGE banner, but I suggest a good way of checking current things out for a slight new comer (hope you don't take that the wrong way?) would be to check out House FM if you live in London, its on 88.6 or perhaps go to Juno and click on their MP3's you could just click on some random stuff and take pot luck or you could look for stuff by Masters at Work, Jon Cutler, Kerri Chandler, Ben Watt, Blaze and stuff on labels Soulfuric and Defected for a brief snapshot at some NICE stuff!!

I'd nail down some old Steve 'Silk' Hurley, Frankie Knuckles, etc.

Personally, I was always heavy-duty into CeCe Peniston - "We Got a Love Thang" back in the day.

i'm guessing that you're talking about the 1995 Joe T Vanelli house remixes of that tune.....it was only released as a UK promo on MCA....i know i've seen it in a couple of shops on this side of the atlantic before.

good soulful US Garage is not hard to find at all.....here's a good site to get a handle on who's who in that scene these days:

The original house is split between purists and those who want to inject some new energy imho. Ultimately there is little that sounds like the mid 90's heyday.
