Default Magik Johnson - Asylum Sneaker OUT TODAY

Blackpool refugee, cycling fiend and house music-machine Magik Johnson
joinsCurfew for obviously his finest piece of music ever. Imagine DJ Sneak, Switch and Jesper Dahlback all kept hostage in a small room under orders to make something really good or be shot. Filtered electro riffs build the pressure over a huge rumbling bass-end, then it drops into a techy hook that’ sounds like Richie Hawtin remixing a John Carpenter soundtrack. Paranoid andminimal as you like - and then back to the earth shattering beats & bass. Then after being kicked in the teeth by the original, you get Magik's own brilliant and aptly named 'Padded Cell' remix as heard on the Essential Selection, Kiss, and Nun Fondlers FM...

Reactions from the disc spinning cognoscenti...

Jesse Rose ³Send my support on this one! Big!²

Sasha ³Into and supporting both mixes here.²

Claude Von Stroke ³Yeah wicked. bring back the heavy $$$$ brotha man!²

D.Ramirez ³Mr Johnson on proper form! One of my fave producers of all
time does it again! Amazing.²

Paolo Mojo ³More solid business from Curfew. Ace.²

Paul Woolford ³I love both versions but for sheer nasty drug music its all about the Padded CellŠ. Dear me, its pretty outrageous. Heard Lawler play it and had to find out what it was. Have included it in my 15 min mix for Tong¹s show.²

Worthy ³Asylum Sneaker is the shiznit! I heard this one on his page and instantly had to go and ask the Curfew guys to get a copy to play at Dirtybird party since I knew it would destroy.²

Rocky (X-Press 2) ³One for the Switch fans for sure! Main room
madness.²

Laidback Luke ³I really like the original mix somewhere between bumpty and minimal, pretty useful! Will support!²

Justin Robertson ³Good lord this is massive!²

Tim Deluxe ³Like both mixes will be playing at space ²

Tom Neville ³Padded Cell. Wrong in the head. I love it!²

Dan Kahuna ³Excellent release from Magik.²

Nick Warren ³Love both mixes!²

Matthew Dekay ³WOW! THIS IS THE DOGS $$$$$$$S!²

Touche ³Sounds good - nicely mental. But the true test will be hearing it
out played out on big system. So I better go off and do that now...²

Tedd Patterson ³This is $$$$in¹ insane!! Can¹t decide which is best.²

Mousse T ³$$$$ ME!!!!!²

Cajuan ³YEAH! Excellent!²

Oscar G ³NUTS!²

Phil Keiran ³Sounds good!²

Hernan Cattaneo ³The remix is good for me.²

Deepgroove ³Heavyyyyy. Just downloading this for some global gathering
action- look out!²

Audiojack ³$$$$in hell, this is barmy. Love it!²

Tommy Four Seven ³A rather splendid head $$$$. Love it! Padded cell.²

Demi ³Padded Cell remix is very good.²

DJ Paulette ³This hits me where it hurts. i love it. it's like being taken into a dark alley and tickled with a studded baseball bat. This is so
twisted it makes lunatics look positively sane. Superb.²

Nick Correlli (MYNC) ³Mental! Love it! Requested for our mix album.²

Lee Burridge ³Way too noisy for me.²

Anyway, enough blah. This is a great track get yourself over to Beatport
and hit download.
