Fresh from their storming debut at the stunning new Island club in November with Rene Amesz, Paolo Mojo and James Talk at the helm, London Social Club are back to impose their electronic music manifesto into the heart of the capital’s clubland.

London Social Club came into existence earlier this year, created by Ben King (the man behind Radius Music Management, and ex-promoter of Type and Cream Ibiza) and James Clent (responsible for the Maximal parties which have rocked The Cross and The Key throughout 2007). The aim of the party is to showcase the most exciting new talents from the house, electro, breaks and techno scenes, with an emphasis on avoiding names who play in London week in week out. It’s about keeping things fresh and moving electronic music forward – but always with keeping that fun, sociable element that too many parties neglect. The Island is the perfect venue to help realise these aims – with immaculate Funktion One soundsystems bringing music to life in pristine detail, an intimate capacity of 450, and plenty of seating. The club is conveniently located just round the corner from Trafalgar Square, but secretively tucked away down an unsuspecting lane – ensuring that the drunken hoards of Central London won’t stumble across it.

Headlining the first LSC party of 2008 is the undeniable talent of Cagedbaby. Signed to Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried imprint, his invigorating, classy blend of fat electro synth sounds, ‘80s inspirations, rock and new wave makes for captivating listening, and this year alone he’s played the mainstage at Glastonbury and Creamfields, toured with Fatboy, The Chems, Soulwax and Erol, as well as producing for Tracey Thorn. 2008 sees him return with a brand new album, full of saucy sordid electro-pop, and this exclusive DJ set will showcase brand new material alongside his favourite dancefloor-wreckers. If you’ve heard his Southern Fried Tried & Tested CD you’ll know he’s quite a dab hand behind the decks....

Dom Kane has been labelled by I-DJ Magazine as “The Year’s Fastest-Rising Underground Talent”, and was propelled into the big league by his remake of the Orbital classic ‘Halcyon’, Dom inserted his unique blend of electro house and 4/4 Breaks to the track, which gained plays from the likes of Zabiela, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinenberg, Sasha, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, and the almighty Pete Tong on BBC Radio One's Essential Selection…not to mention both the Hartnoll brothers behind the original track itself, gaining rave reviews from DJ Magazine, IDJ, and Mixmag to name a few. His original productions for the likes of Fat! and Fakt are helping him build a name as one to watch in 2008.

James Talk tore the roof off at the last LSC party, wowing the crowd with his tightly-mixed fusion of acid, tech and deep house that has seen him touted by the likes of James Zabiela, Pete Tong and Nic Fanciulli as one of the hottest DJs on the circuit. His debut album ‘Walky Talky’ drops 2 days after London Social Club, so he’s sure to be on fine form on the night.

There’ll be plenty of carefully-picked, exciting new talent joining our 3 headliners over 2 rooms, providing a slick selection of well-programmed beats to take you through the evening.
