Default Kurruption @ EP Lounge, Faringdon - 18/2/05

KURRUPTION
Saturday 18th February
8pm – 3am
EP Lounge, Farringdon

On February 18th Kurruption will be back to bring you the finest in house/breaks/electro at the EP Lounge in Farringdon. A fantastic new venue in the heart of the city, with two rooms and literally just across the road from Turnmills. What more could we ask for!?

Kurruption went from Strength to Strength in 2005 and it can only get better now we have a home for the 3rd Saturday of every month!

If you haven’t yet been ‘Kurrupted’ then make sure you are there for our very special launch party.

Need convincing? Here are a few things I think may just do the trick…. :thumb:

• Two rooms of some of London’s freshest new DJ talent with music progressing from Jackin’ house and Funky House to Breaks and finishing off with Tech Edged Electro.

• Kurruption residents Alex Parsons and Tommy Four Seven will be celebrating the release of their track ‘Chocolate makes your Clothes Shrink’, which is due for release on February 10th on Brique Rouge.

• Free gourmet canapés from 8pm until 10pm and drinks prices that will not break the bank! Friendly staff and cheap entry!

• Free mix Cds, vinyl and anything else I can think of between now and then!

• A party vibe and crowd like no other!

And without further ado may I announce your VIP entertainers for the evening…..

It'll be good to see Jon Fynn play again. His last set at Kurruption last November was great. Liking that Jackin' Chicago house sound!

Our last event was a huge success with the Aston Harvey - Freestylers!

Even without this special guest expect nothing but the best quality music!

A little info about Tommy Four Seven for you!
..........

At only 18 years of age Tommy Four Seven has already created a buzz around himself on the London electro-house scene. His first ever production gained Radio 1 airplay and he went on to secure three residencies playing alongside the likes of Adam Sky, FC Kahuna, Mark Moore, Bones & Ramsey, Mikki Most and King Roc. This was all before he was legally allowed to buy a beer!

Tommy has also notched up gigs at the Ministry of Sound, Playtime, Trailer Trash, Beyond meets The $$$$ and Blue in London as well as playing for Diskoitten in Edinburgh and more recently in Paris for leading Electro night Eyes Need Sugar. He held a residency for the early part of 2005 with Kosmetic Surgery and can be found every Sunday at Twist, London’s infamous after hours. He also holds residence for Kurruption, the party that got him started.

Playing his unique blend of tech-edged electro, Tommy is a musically mature, technically astute and creative individual who’s not afraid to bring different styles into his set. He’s also a very versatile DJ who can adapt his sound to play anything from early warm-up teasers to his trademark filthy late night stormers.

Already experienced in the studio, his new collaboration with Alex Parsons, ‘Chocolate
Makes Your Clothes Shrink’,
has just been signed to David Duriez’s Brique Rouge label for an early 2006 release. He’s also launching his own night Shooting Elvis in London next year.

With his outstanding style and energy, Tommy Four Seven has an exciting career ahead of him!
