Default Ghetto American House

Has anyone heard it? It's $$$$ usaly from Chicago and Baltimore, and it usaly revolves around some girls booty, you guys think new school UKG is redundant, this $$$$ is $$$$ing horrible!!! Sounds like Musical Mobb turning into crack addicts!

detroit is the home to ghetto tech....
and everyone has their flava.

dj assault is the man when it comes to ghetto tech. there's actually quite a bit of good stuff. faster tempos....detroit drum programming....and not all of it talks about ass and titties. there's a lot of stuff out there that samples a lot of R&B / Hip-hop and house.

to each his own though....it's definitely not for everyone.

It's an acquired taste. If you ever see any of those "Girls Gone Wild" videos (not that I have...honest!) - this is the type of music they might use in the background.

I don't love booty house, but I do think it's fun in small doses.

umm.....can't say i know what you're talking about there sen....are you the authority on the Girls Gone Wild series of videos??

even in miami bass...there's so much variety within the genre....because the music has spread beyond broward county...and infected pretty much the whole South....so you get booty music from Atlanta, and the carolinas....virginia, texas, new orleans....each with it's own characteristics and dialects....bunch of country ass fools sometimes...but that is what's usually cool about it. but like sen said, it's definitely an acquired taste, be it miami bass, booty house, ghetto tech, whatever....it's all about getting them big booty girls out there flexin!

Depends on who's playing it and how as to whether it's tolerable. Played slow or without tricks, it's awful. However, when guys like Disco D and Godfather (and to a lesser extent Assault) spin it, it can be a ho lotta fun....

To be honest, I'm not really sure where the line between ghetto tech and booty house is anymore. They used to be very distinct, but ghetto tech has mellowed out some and the booty house got harder, so they both pretty much sound the same to me now...

The sound out of Baltimore isn't generally referred to as "Ghetto American House", we usually call it "Baltimore Club" or "Baltimore Breaks" or "Dew Doo"

for information on the sound, check out this link:

ok i did not read the whole thread but......... i am from baltimore and it is called Baltimore Club or breaks and yes the beat never ever changes. I do like the fact that old soul songs from like the fiftys anf forties get chopped into alot of this stuff
