A rising talent and much respected DJ on Belfast's busy clubbing scene Aaron Shims productios offer much originality and a style that's very much his own. His debut release on Acii Tone is a fine example, Infrasonic is a subtle track, perfect for the summertime,with fantastic use of melody and complimenting sounds. Its perfect arrangement gives it great pace and the variation within the melody throughout adds to this even more. Infrasonic vocal that builds and drops before the pink plonk pleasure returns. A very well rounded track with feel good written all over it.
On the remix for this we have Australian based, UK born producer Robsounds, both the melody and dub mix are built around a groovy rubberband bassline, first up comes the main melody mix. With suc a strong rolling bassline, Robsounds overlaying melody on this one gives the track much more depth, its spaciuos arrangement gives the groove good time to breath and the less simple approach makes this a very accessible crossover track.
The dub mix focuses much more on simple groove, losing the melody and introducing more in a way of percussion to drive the track alongwithout losing any momentum, it's a weapon that's sure to see a lot of late night DJ battling. Simple but effective, stick it in your tool box.
