What makes a good radio show? ie, what features do you like to hear.

Also what makes a good competition on a show? and not just an easy one.

well manored host (not some ill rudebwoy)
tune ids for everytune
a nice non stop mix up
maybe a chart
not too much chating over tunes
not too many rewinds (im not abig fan of rewinds on radio)
some dubs and exclusives
a differnt variety of selection ,mixing old skool, 2 step ,blines etc..

Not too many rewinds
Tune ID's ALL the tyme (that annoy's me a lot when some DJ's don't say the names of tracks that u really like - going on like it's some exculsive flex when it isn't !!)
NO droppin tracks !!
Not too much cutting up of the track or fast mixing (it's a radio show - not a race LOL)

I think it depends on your audience really. If they are listening for pure entertainment and relaxation purposes then I think a show that interacts with listeners, has a casual and joke like attiude is good. However if its a more critical or specialised show then perhaps more reveiws, interviews and news etc is more appropriate.
