wouldnt agree with your comment to be honest, don't think people feel that way at all...
I personally dont think there's such a thing as "black" music. Music is a form of art which can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter their age, race, sex etc.
what a stupid girl, black music, so what would you define as black music then, and from all the black people i know none of them feel that way.
Maybe there is a few people that feel white people shouldnt listen to "black" music (which its not black people's music) but there just small minded and ignorant.
but u don't hear anyone describing any form of music white - why the need for reference of colour? my feeling is this causes encouraged segregation
ps as for blinded eyes comment, you asked for feedback i gave my opinion. standard.
Special K you are mistaken luv, don't know where you found that from, but if that were true it would be a shot in the leg for black music in general if white people didn't contribute to the wealth of black music such as the people that buy records from black artists.
The Title of this topic is pure Higrade Wackness...

everyone enjoys whatever music they do and colour doesnt come into it.
but because Im always on my own side of the fence, lemme throw this in:
"black music" doesnt exist, but music of black origin does, agree?
Reggae developed from African rhythms and westernised live instruments, please dont say this is anything but music of black origin.
Hiphop, the worlds most loved genre by black and white, developed from beats off drum machines? a long with the blues and black soul influence plus Jamaican toasting transformed into US rapping. This is of black origin. Similar with RNB.
So black music - no, everyone listens to whatever music they feel, but I feel it should still be known as music of black origin, otherwise in years to come, black peeps will forgot what they accomplished. White people invested in it with time or money, but at the core, the origins, the roots, the feeling was black. anyone ignorant will tell u otherwise.
feel free to call rock, pop, etc white, Im not offended. then again Skunk Anansie is a bald headed black rock singer, so then u its music of white origin but not white music totally.
i bet none of u see my point?
btw I had a dream about sov :S new topic time.
AGX rock is music of black origin, how did u not know that, although it has attracted white people over the years and there are hardly any black rock musicians around.
Rock and Roll started with the black people, i can even remember learning that in Primary school, and the people behind Elvis were of African American origin. So you can't call rock white music, even though it is still considered as that.
Tut AGX, you slipping manAGX rock is music of black origin, how did u not know that, although it has attracted white people over the years and there are hardly any black rock musicians around.

"in years to come black peeps will forget what they accomplished"
this is one of the most stupid things i think you've ever written.
ahh yes, I remember rocknroll as being adapted from US blues and $$$$, I jus forgot to add it up that rock and roll went onto become ROCK.
missc, explain what u mean or suck my $$$$![]()
MOBO music of black origin - bull$$$$
yes, a tribes man banging a drum in the rhythm thats been passed down for hundreds of years.... in an african desert with 3 tribal burn scars on his cheek, big thick blackman lips and the frizziest of hair....he aint making music of black origin is he?
SEEEEEEN.
You might as well go the whole hog and say theres no such thing as black people. jus call us: un-caucasian, or urban, or some PC $$$$.
this is what I meant missc. anything originating from black peoples is now called urban.
MUSIC OF URBAN ORIGIN? LOL
