There's a new unsigned band competition being advertised on Scottish radio at the moment. It doesn't say anything about entries from outside scotland in the terms however.

Although it is sponsored by Coke.., but all good things have got to come from somewhere I guess. The winner gets to play at Glasgow Carling Academy (a pretty large venue) alongside a major, as yet unknown band.
