I been reading the Sun all week because its what we have at work... Its really changed my opionion on the war.. I start thinking Im for war.. which is all good because its opened my mind and seen both sides.. but I can see how easy it is for most Sun readers to be complete single minded idiots and beleiving everything whats said in that paper.
About Chirac... do you think his people feel the same... or is he a bit of a Tony Blair?

no, I think he thinks like most of the french ppl. think....... you have to keep in mind that in france a high percentage of the population are moslems.......and are totally against bush/blair .....
the germans as well.......but the germans are the last to say something against the amerikans and the brits....coz if back then in 1938 the allies (with the USA and the UK) wouldn't have tried to do something about things in germany they would probably would be a part of russia of the sowjets...and in think about what happened when they wouldn't toke control of them in '44 what would have happened....
I think it is a BIG BIG mistake chirac has made by inviting Mugabe..........coz Mugabe is a narrow minded idiot, nearly as bad and dangerous for simbabwe as Saddam is for the iraq....

the sun and the star are like factions themselves.
people with intelligence can read them and weigh up the issues for themselves but the average sun reader takes it as gospel and that is very worrying. also worrying that the only newspaper in the uk whose circulation has increased is the star.

Interesting to note how the Sun have changed their stance to blindly supporting the war in face of public opinion, to supporting "our boys & girls" in the Gulf. Do they think they can guilt-trip us into supporting Bush's economic, sorry foreign policy?
