Default STRIKE FM BIRTHDAY BASH REPORT..............read on

Strike bash

On the 26 January the strike fm bash took place in Romfords Rm1 bar. The club witch I found was a nice size with a nice atmosphere which was buzzing all night long from the hours it kicked off ( 9 o’clock ) too the early hours of the morning ( 3am ).The night started with Dj Able on the decks(and the heating inside being turned up). His tight mixing of some old school classics got everyone in the mood. This was the perfect way to start the night!I thought this was a very good set by 'Able' also met the chap (great geezer). It was great to see so many faces that I speak to on msn. Including all the Strike Fm Crew , loopee , limit , Dk + others!

If you have all visited the website which is www.Strikefm.co.uk you would most likely to have heard a set which featured Mc kamikaze. Boy was i looking forward to seeing this man in action and he ripped up the set with dj SuS who got a few on the dance floor, but most stood and was amazed with his WICKED intro. How he get that?.....

When the night kicked in i started to notice the niceness of all the Essex girls Big up to you all! Also big up Dj limit who seemed to be keeping his girlfriend entertained!!

The night was also topped with cheap alcohol going on sale. 80p for a bottle of Heineken - u cant knock it! And i think this got to Dj Lewis A who decided to take advantage of this and had to miss his set due to not knowing where he was - this was the only disappointing part of the night apart from people being turned away due to a packed venue inside.

Dj sus set was nice , very tight mixing and clearly liked bass line tunes because, i couldn’t remember a single vocal tune! this set seemed to be the wrong time as the bass line tunes seemed to Heavy after a 'nice' old school set. That was the only thing wrong with the set - but saying that it got some of the crowd moving which is what the dj is there for! Big up Sus on a Heavy set. Also the mc's started to roll on this set which also got the crowd going!

The problem with this was that there was about 7 mc's wanting to grab the mic and if they were set around certain sets this would of improved the structure as it looked a bit 'kiddish' with loads of mc's trying to grab the mic. But when they got the mic the stuff coming out was very good.
The 3 best mc's in order on the night, my opinion, was MC loopee , kamikaze & prestige Ultra. These three have serious talent and as it was the 1st time i saw them i was very impressed by these three. Watch out for these BIG TALENT.

The next set is where the night kicked into gear with madd hatter and Big P going back to back. This was the set that got all the crowd going, and everyone on the dance floor. They also brought along the rest of there crew , Mc Reload and Mc Feedback Who helped rip up the set! this on the night was the most entertaining set. Mixing etc was good and full respect to the mc's who got the bashement roaring!!! and when Drum and bass dropped it clearly got the crowed even more pumped up. This set also gets tune of the night where the remix of Jameson urban hero feat viper was played - this got the crowd jumping and raving to the max!! The Dance floor was packed. It turned into a mission getting to the toilets. I think it took longer getting to the toilet then it did travelling from Peterborough To the Rm1 Bar.
My view is that this was the BEST 'entertaining set' but all the hype was around the next set, scratch master Luca. This was a good sign though of a true bashment!

When Luca and Rossi B finally entered the dj box the crowd just swarmed around the decks! Wanting to see scratch master Luca. This set had plenty of talent rolling through it. With one of my rated top mc's on the night, MC prestige Ultra, who went back to back with Stamina - who clearly looked like a man not to be messed with!
Looking from Luca's perspective it wasn’t the best of sets for him, mixes wasn’t as tight, scratching was still at its best though - but still in my eyes mashed it up , which is a good sign of a Dj who tells me he didn’t do that well! Rossi B also had some nice tight mixing, and it was a disappointment the set was seen as 'Luca' more then Luca b2b Rossi B, because this Dj deserved just as much credit on the night - I cant remember him messing up or clanging at all! Big up too you both.

Next up was Dj Gez - A few were commenting ' that was the best set ' but all round every dj had its favourite fans.
I personally did like this set - very bouncy - had some Tunes for the girls some for the boys all round a good set.
Gez stayed on the decks for the last hour, and let his partner in crime on strike fm Starkie P go back to back , as Lewis A was declared 'ill' and i think if Gez didn’t have to do the last hour the crowd would of missed the drop of spin spin sugar at 45 bpm!! Not to many people noticed gez overall a nice set!!

Speaking to the promoters and owners there is defiantly going to be another Strike Fm bash! If you miss this you will regret it!! Because if its anything like this event just gone then its sure to be a H.E.A.V.Y night.

WHAT A GREAT NIGHT - NO VIOLENCE - NO ATTITUDE - FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE - AND GREAT MUSIC - BIG UP STRIKE FM FOR A GREAT NIGHT AND A GREAT WAY TO PROMOTE THE UK GARAGE SCENE! SEE YOU AT THE NEXT ONE!

Reported by Dj Frenzie ( strike fm sat 8-10, Mon 6-8 tune in
