K8!'s review of Sidewinder:


Reached Ocean at about 12.20 or something like that it didnt seem that busy outside we got in really quicky and being my first time at Ocean thought it was well nice ! When we got there they was just going thou the awards for best MC and that which I thought was way to early, the place wasnt even half full which was a big dissappointment.
EZ was on at about 12.30 and he was MC free then Blive take the mic for about 2 lyrics and then we didnt see no more of him, EZ was then backed by Viper and KofiB, some good tunes was dropped and EZ proved why he is still winning awards. After EZs set they announced some more awards and then it was Femmes turn on the decs and she was okay she rewind far to many tunes and blive looked really bored didnt actually see him do that much on stage which wasnt good considering he won best MC entertainer ! Karnage won best grime DJ he must have played for all of 1/2 hour I didnt really listen to that much of the set, I went to the Liberty room Larner and DT was on and there was bout 10 people in there ! Heartless won best crew and then they preformed they played quite alot of bashment and Fonti was going on about Masterstepz which was quite amusing, the minutes silence they did at the being of there set was really respectful it was ruined by a few $$$$$s that wanted to shout ! Left about half way in to Heartless's set so didnt hear ne other sets ! All in all one of the worst sidewinder I have been to just seemed really unorganised and not clear who had won what, the sets just seemed boring, lifeless and no one looked as if they was having a well good time ! It was so empty in there I remember the awards last year and there was about 4k people there I really thought it would have been alot busier then what it was !

Cheers Alice. Ive heard mixed reviews from it, mainly the grime peeps saying it was wicked, and the old skool peeps saying it was crap and should be called Grimewinder. Im surprised the Liberty room was empty, thats where i wouldve been if i went.

Also heard Mike Skinner didnt turn up to host, and Wiley didnt turn up either to get his award.
