Man killed in nightclub shooting
The club was hosting an R&B night on Sunday night
A man has been killed and another injured in a double shooting at a club in central London.
Between six and eight men are thought to have forced their way into Turnmills nightclub in Clerkenwell and fired shots at about 0300 BST on Monday.
A 27-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and is being treated for his injury in hospital.
Several men ran out of the club, got into two cars and started shooting at each other during a chase.
Another 27-year-old man was found dead with a bullet wound to the head inside one of the cars, after it crashed into a parked car in Farringdon Road.
No weapons found
The second car, a BMW, is believed to have been driven off down Farringdon Road towards the City.
Turnmills, which can hold about 1,000 people, was hosting an event organised by R&B promoters Twice As Nice.
Radio One's DJ Spoony and Lisa Mafia, from So Solid Crew, were on the bill.
Much of the area was sealed off on Monday morning while police carried out their investigation.
A man in his twenties has been arrested and is being questioned by police.
Scotland Yard has confirmed detectives from Operation Trident, the specialist unit which looks into gun crime within London's black community, have joined the investigation.
No weapons have been found although ammunition has been recovered and is being checked by forensics officers.
