The tune is 'What Goes Around' by Nas, off the Stillmatic album.

    Heavy Track.

i know man, i havent listened to any of those shows (you should tell me what times are really good shows) but i know how sad the state of affairs of black music in pittsburgh is. that maxwell show was really $$$$ing cool, but for example i went to see beenie man at metropol in 99, and there were just a few hundred people there. for f***in beenie man! with tanto metro + devonte opening, right at the peak of "everyone falls in love"!!!!! i just dont know what to say. as much as i love pittsburgh for what it is and what i think it could be, im afraid if i wait for it to develop, ill be an old man. im seriously considering trying to move to a real city in the next 2-3 years.

and if that track was that nas track, it is bomb. ive only heard it once on WAMO, thats why i couldnt ID it. i didnt pick up that new nas LP but ive been rocking "illmatic" for the last few weeks. im trying to get kingston into it so he can grow up and be the first good white hiphop emcee.

its becuase soem americans are closed minded. they are scared to try out new things. if its not talkin about "voilence" or has something offensive in it they wont sell it. they are not all about the lyrical aspect of hip-hop. groups like atmosphere, latryx, heiroglyphics, pharcyde. even though are well known, they are not played on the radio. yes its 2 different styles of hip-hop but its still consider hip-hop. yeah i have spoken to hip-hop heads from overseas, and they are into teh samethigns i am, and sometimes they know more. its kinda crazy. the underground hip-hop scene here in the states is not function correctly. everyone wants a piece( which is normal). im kinda hopeing that mos def, a sual williams and shiet give the mainstream crowd something new so they concentrate on the lyrical aspect of it. i agree with you lady j
