Need a little help - Best music town in UK

Hey Guys

I am currently living in London but it is SUPER expensive and I am wondering, where is the coolest place to live in the UK for live music/music industry? Is there another town that is anywhere near competing with London?

Thoughts? If you were an aspiring musician in the UK...what town would you go to to make it big?

There are many towns which are great for music the only thing is none are as big as London and so none attract as many bands as London. Check out our iPhone/iPad App London Music Mapp shows over 600 locations and counting.

If you're into folk/prog and a nice buzzing scene that isn't too big and overbearing, Canterbury's a good bet
