CD Text... nice. Its all about the CD Text!

I didn't know Car CD Things played CDRs? WOW. I think Ill get one instead of Minidisc then. That way I have to spend £40 on a CDR instead of a couple of hundred on a Minidisc Recorded.

    Safe.

PS: Are those VU's on the Pioneer one? Do they work?

this is wrong finyl. you need a mp3 decoder as well. CD-RW means it can read those cd's as the image burnt onto the cd is harder to read, especially with your older model type cd players.

MP3 cds and CDs made from MP3s are differnt things

u can fit BARE Mp3s on a CD. (as data files)

CDR just means it reads copied discs i thought.

MP3 means it'll read the MP3s as data files .

    i think!!!!

basically the head unit has a mp3 decoder which means that the mp3 on the cd can be decoded and read by the head unit. But it must state it can decode mp3's. I.e. that pioneer can read/decode mp3's but the sony one finyl got can only read CD-R/RW with .wav info.

but if it can says CD-W/RW that means it only reads CD-R/RW but the cd which it reads still only has .wav on it.

Why dont u get a head unit with cassette & radio and then hook up a cd changer in the boot like i've done. Best of both worlds.

true im kind of in love with the player im getting. i also want a player that plays mp3s. i might have to have a search.
the other advantage of having a tape player is you can link MD players up to it.
