im thinking of starting an IRC chat room, just wondering if people know what IRC is and if people would use it?

so please answer the poll if you would use it or not so i can see if it would b worthwhile

internet relay chat, it's like most chat programs, except you can talk to many people at one time, and you can see all the users in a list down the side, so you can have private conversations too

i go on efnet quite a lot

normally in #xdcc-mp3 for hiphop mp3s and used 2 b a op in #champman for years but dont really go on it anymore

a eggdrop bot would b good mate, im lookin in2 gettin a shell and havin some up on it aswell

www.mirc.com is the standard irc client

www.bersirc.com is some nxt irc client, prefer it 2 mirc

to join them type /server *******

maybe we should set up a channel then do a (setup.txt) to send around so people can see how 2 get on and also use irc.. its not hard but i can understand that when ur not used to it, it may seem hard.

once u get on2 it its easy to use and it does have a lot of features which could b useful for us

just looking for a shell which accepts solo at the moment then the channel will be ready

tryed it b4 n failed.... no 1 on irc wants ukg
if u want ukg chat check out direct connect....
with 100+ uk garage lovers in there (plus 500,000 ukg mp3s)

great idea..

irc is very usefull, it is simple to use, and it is available to everybody, easy to share files and if someone hosts a "bot" on a easy to axs server or a private server that would be awsome




efnet is easy to axs but the services are $$$$
you would need a shell to host a bot
