    important...

is all very well posting up on a forum and every1 agreeing saying yes this is terrible tis a shame that OUR music the music WE love is getting destroyed by narrow minded people trying to boost there reputation in a rave by capping sum1 or jackin sum1 with a blade...
the bottom line is HOW CAN WE PREVENT THIS? wot contacts do we have that can put a end to the violence and get garage back 2 were it is all about the music and having a good time? i go on many forums on the internet and every1 is saying the same DAM things. we all need 2 make a stand and figure out sumway of sorting this problem out b coz it is dramatically spiraling out of control. even top djs like EZ and dreem teem are saying that the scene is going down hill! what does this tell u? at the end of the day YOU need to figure out what is your role in the scene and at the end of the day it is the ravers who are causing the trouble not the DJs, MCs or Crews. I havce had enough of all the trouble and the name that OUR music is getting. im up and comin and by the time i make it i dont want all my hard work and effort to have gone to waste all because no1 likes uk garage n e more b coz it is 2 dangerous 2 go 2 a rave. So as i draw my post 2 a end let me leave this thought with u... HOW CAN I CONTRIBUTE MY PART 2 THE SCENE TO MAKE IT SAFER AND GET IT BACK 2 THE VIBE IT WAS ON? maybe u cant do it on your own but if all the ravers think like this then im sure progress could be made... if every1 decides to make a stand then we will get something done after all YOU are what keeps the scene alive YOU are the fuel of the uk garage scene... Thanks for reading this i hope it makes u think about what is at stake. Thanx

its not just violence in the ukg scene bro, its that violence on the street is getting worse, i can't go down the local now without getting shot/stabbed/jacked...i hate it when peeps say its garage music that causes the problems..its not..its just this country has generally turned into a nasty violent place, the violence spreads to the dance but that $$$$ is gwaning on everywhere,clubs/pubs even the down the ferking chicken shop.mans need to fix up.. educate the youth dem...

I think everyone's waiting for someone else to take the initiative to turn the scene around, when really it's down to us, the individual. I think the younger ones need to realise that this bad man attitude doesnt prove anything, the MCs need to stop encouraging this type of behaviour & attiutude, the DJs need to try n set up a happier vibe with their tune selection and we the ravers need to set an example by getting out there and dancing, smiling etc.

If everyone does their bit, we can all work together to pull the scene around.

nah-nah-nah!!, people are blaming djs for playing "dark" tweens, i don't buy into that, if i hear a "dark" tween it don't make me wanna rip into someone wit a knife, its down to individuals acting like a gangsters which causes problems, these people shouldn't be tolarated in the dances...99% of people at dances are there to have a good time and dance to garage music regardless to it being dark or vocal, blaming the scene/dj's/mcs/crew i think is a cop out when i think its general ALOT more violent then say 2/3 years ago.....

I agree with krispi's points, which pretty much sum up what should happen within the scene, as a mature clubber I only go Ministry of sound, and I can honestly say I haven't seen trouble there for at least 6 months. I personally thought all this fighting in clubs was over, but I guess it's still here probably at the clubs where the crowd is young.
As the saying goes "it will get worse before it gets better", and if my judgement is correct, it's got to it's worse, and Garage can now, only rise.

Oochie- i didnt say Djs should stop playing dark tunes- i love my dirty basslines, all i was saying is that if they see people aren't dancing, try playing a different style or whack on a few classics rather than just playing dub after dub.
