Default How do under 18s that frequent club nights differ in music taste to ones that don't??

It seems to me that the majority of 18-25's (90% at least) go to nightclubs. However, when I used to go to an Under 18s club night, it seemed a very select few that went (maybe 10 or 20 % of the Under 18s in my area). Which I find odd, because I thought the majority of Under 18's, especially the girls, were also into music/dancing enough to want to go to a club.

So, how exactly do the minority that go to U18s clubs actually differ to the majority that don't??? I thought the majority of young people (again especially girls) are really into the music/dancing/fashion etc. but would the ones that go to clubs be into it a lot more than ones that don't????

Or is it that the ones that go to clubs prefer dance/rap music over pop music??? I think most young people would like, for instance, Example and Pixie Lott. But would the ones that go to clubs generally prefer Example over Pixie, and the ones that don't prefer Pixie over Example????

You have just got a big remenising session in the studio everyone here is saying including my self how they used to go and listen to drum and bass and garage music when they went to under 18s and how nowit has drifted from uk funky house to more of "club hop" music with very little lyrical talent just a jump beat to hype the crowed and have everyone dancingn and having fun instead of sitting back and chilling

Most U18s clubs now play dance/R&B music from the charts instead of the underground stuff - as do most Over 18's clubs.

This is because most nightclubs in the UK are being re-branded as 'Heart' and will play Club Classics - so I think they are trying to get clubbers gradually used to the music being more mainstream before the big changes happen.
