Just posted about these in another thread - Strawhouses have a well good debut album out for £1.50 from their website but no one seems to know about them. I also really like Bombay Bicycle Club and Villagers
Hey Stephen,
Strawhouses are pretty cool, liking batteries, got some cool guitar lines in there... Where are these guys from? Alot of the stuff i hear for unsigned/upcoming is based up in manchester
this is what i love about the UK music scene, such variance in styles and delivery but so many good acts around... Have you heard of City of the Ghost??
Hey PPP!
Strawhouses are from Liverpool, there's lots of great bands there actually - "Being Jo Francis" are really good and are picking up a bit of steam at the moment.
Have you got any links for COTG?
hey dude,
liverpool does have some great music... im halfway betwen liverpool and manchester so get the ebst of both music scenes lol
I cant post links jsut yet (post count not quite high enough) but if you head over to my page on FB you can link up with the band from there (check my avatar) they ahve a few free streams on the "bandpage" tab on their profileenjoy
also check out jeramiah ferrari, ill post up a link to one of theire acoustic vids on the fb page in a min so head over to check it out
They're pretty much the other ends of the spectrum to each other!!
Yeah liking Jeremiah deffo, nice vibe with the 'impromtu' performance too![]()
defiantely a big change between those two acts lol, but as they say variety si the spice of life.... I really love the Acoustic street session... i have a thing for anything acoustic to be fair,,, although i was brought up on heavy metal (old school uk stuff too like maiden and sabbath) i really love acapella and the like aswell
Not new artist, but new material
Jehst 'England' UK Hip Hop.
liking that, some really powerful lyrics... loving some of the recent hip hop thats coming out... hoping to get down to LowKey's album launch in manchester
Mechanical Owl
Much of the stuff I'm working on myself these days is indie/alternative/post-punk and a bit grungey but I can't post links yet. Check out Mechanical Owl though, they're pretty good![]()
