fao lyricallush (did u hear Swizz gun More Fiyah on Westwood on Friday)

    Lyricallush did u hear this?

Westwood was live from Miami. Trick Daddy was in studio with some other MC and there was some Big name DJ from Miami.

Trick Daddy did a freestyle them Icons turned up in studio. They did there bit then it was time for So Solid.

Megaman, Swizz, Neutrino and some next guy were in Miami.
First Westwood played some tune So Solid Hip Hop production called 'Thug Angel'.

Personally I thought the intro was way to long and when it eventually dropped Megaman and Asher D were spitting short
    verses in "Double time"
The DJ from Miami thought they were UK rappers and said he was surprised with the flow. "All that bidi bidi bidi bidi"

Megaman than said they just finished some next Hip Hop tune 2 weeks ago
They dropped it and Swizz, Mega and Scatt D were spitting I think

Anyway on Swizz's verse he was saying "More Fiyah" quite a few times but I just though he was talking about "more Fiyah as in more hypement"
Anyway he then said something like the difference between More Fiyah and us is we've had platinum selling album and said some other things.

He then said something like "123 my names Ozzie B, listen to me spit I'm a nursery rhyme ABC MC"
That's not exactly right but it was along them lines.

Megaman, Neutrino and some next guy then did a freestyle.
Megaman sounded decent I liked his flow.
Neutrino and the next guy then asked the DJ to up the tempo of the tunes (basically saying they couldn't flow to a Hip Hop beat)
Neutrino sounded wack, he sounded well s.hit over Hip Hop. They lyrics were a joke as well.
    (Skiba would kill him)
The other guy didn't do nothing for me either.

Someone on Uptown said More Fiyah responded on Rinse saturday night.

Said was unprofessional and not all that.
Saying stuff like "So Solid minor"

Think there's beef cause More Fiyah on Big Breakfast said "were more street than So Solid"

Megaman would rinse them on his own.
    Simple tings!!!

UK rappers obviously feel So Solid think there the ones bringing UK Hip Hop forward even though these cats have been doing it for years.

    God, its sad ain't it.

I missed the show man, but it once again shows what a $$$$ Westwood is, never thought about until now...

We've got so many UK rappers that need exposure right now, and Westwood continues with the bling bling US stuff without even representing his own counrty properly. Then he gets So Solid on the show???? Wah!

The reason they won't respond to UK rappers disses is because they know they would get gunned HARD. The rappers know how to diss, no-one in garage does, its not that kind of scene...the only people who probably do are HLC because they still have that sound system thing running through their sets...and they obviously follow that scene.

Still, good luck to So Solid. They ain't gonna get much support on the underground Hip Hop scene because they the equivalent of what NSync did with The Neptunes as far as I am concerned...

Tim needs to fix up. He's a $$$$sucker.

Apart from all that, how were Icons?

Icons were alright. I've heard the album is wack though.
But there freestyling skills were decent.

Truesay about So Solid not gunning UK rappers. Mega saying he wont respond does not make sense considering So Solid were diss S Club 7 and will diss Westlife in the near future, and have dissed More Fiyah.

So Solid know that UK rappers have skills and could seriously hurt So So Solid in a lyrical war. There's no question about that.

    check this

CYRUS DA VIRUS - WHAT DO U KNOW ABOUT… (CY-FI)
Don't be fooled by the smile. When it comes to spitting rhymes Cyrus takes no prisoners. From the album intro he lets his battle credentials be known as he throws down in front of a hyperactive Westwood crowd. 'What Do U Know About…' is a moody affair replete with minimalist beats, gutter raw rap and a broody Mobb Deep-esque atmosphere. Whether spitting raggo lyrics over moody tracks or catching joke with his Junction crew on the album's numerous skits, Cyrus pulls no punches. Check the lyrics on 'How You Like It' for proof:
'Consider me/politically/incorrect, cos I only open my mouth to disrepect/And chew food and to moan when I'm having sex/Plus I bu'n big spliffs like you smoke cigarettes/When I'm jarred/I blaze 9 bars/in my yard/in about the same time it takes my Nokia to charge…' Nuff said.

Westwood was telling the Miami DJ "So Solid done a thing called Garage but just say it's a UK version of Hip Hop" I didn't like the way Tim was talking as if So Solid are the be all and end all of UK Hip Hop.
The only reason So Solid's Hip Hop tunes can get big is there signed and have a major following now.

There are better UK Hip Hop MC's it's just they don't get the exposure they deserve but Westwood should be helping them.

Email Westwood + show him what you people are sayin, he needs to fix up + support UK rap/mc's artists for once, enough talent coming though over here now needs radio support.

    Thats what I'm gonna do.

The thing is I think Westwood is big. His heavy it's just he forgets about the UK talent.

Take Roots manouvre. His album is critically acclaimed all over the world but still this man is hardly recognisable to the UK.

When Westwood goes to America I think he should always have a UK MC with him to show the Americans there skills.

If not that he should at least play some UK Hip Hop tunes on his rap show. He doesn't play enough UK productions!!!

I am sick of Westwood sometimes.

Don't know if people notice but he well plugs his $$$$ too much, which ain't right. He's always plugging his CD's, his website, and the other day was talking about people joining his timwestwood.com mailing list for about a minute, all of which has nothing to do with Radio One.

Another thing...did anyone hear him the other week going on about East West. I was listening to it on a Minidisk on the tube and laughed out loud because it was about as menacing as Mr Bean. And the geezer on the phone went 'Westwood, you keeping it gangsta". Bare joke.

they do and are getting the exposure from westwood... but true say sosolid dont need anymore exposure especially when it comes to hiphop coz we will get laughed at by out american counterparts.

It's cos Westwood wants to be a yank, he's not going to support any UK acts if he spends his whole time trying to disassociate himself from the country.

I'm not a huge hip hop head but there are far greater talents than SSC in terms of rap - Mega is actually decent but nothing I've heard from the rest of them could hold up to anyone semi-decent in the Hip Hop scene. But it's never been a case of promoting British talent when it comes to this, we're just lucky UKG was started here and not in America, otherwise people would be hearing our MCs and berate them for sounding funny.

Truesay he has had some come in and freestyle but he should give them exposure to the Americans.

He never drops any UK Hip Hop tunes.
