    FAO EVERYONE - PLEASE READ

    Good morning!!

Dont be thinking Im in a bd mood, because Im not (passed my driving test yesterday!)....

    ...BUT.....

Please could everyone stop making topics 'FAO Whoever', then saying 'check ur PMs'.

When the person signs onto the forum page they will be notified that they have a PM, or if you would like to be sure that they will recieve it, email them!

It just gets annoying, especially when theres 5 on a page.

    Thanks!

If it says FAO and then not yer name then its obviously not for your eyes anyway so you don't need to read it!

    It clutters up the forum....

also, like other people, I dont look at the topic names, I just click on 'next topic' after Ive read the one Im reading.

Also, people dont always put FAO... they put 'Matt Jam Lamont'... so u think there is gonna be a topic about him... the it says PMs.

Its pointelss as they wll see it n e way.

Anyhow.... this was not a question.. it was an instruction

If you are reading through every thread anyway, what difference does it make if the topic is about a PM?

I agree with that scruffy, hairy homosexual that is known as TechnoKing.

If it is marked FAO : So and So, it should be just for So and So.

Is it not ok to put an Fao at all? To anyone?

Or can you if it is interesting to other users?

but if it is jsut for 'so and so' then there is no need to be posting it on a PUBLIC forum..... send it to 'so and so's' email address, mobile fone or PM box

Jack and Jill were about to get married. On the eve of the wedding,
    > Jack's father sat him down for a chat. "Let me give you a bit of advice,
    > son", he said. "On my wedding night, I took off my pants, handed them to
    > your mother and said, "Here Darling, try these on.""
    > "She did and said, "they're a little too big, Sweetie; I don't think I can
    > wear them.""
    > "Exactly", I replied. "I wear the pants in this family and I always
    > will!"
    > "Ever since that night we never had any problems".
    > In the bedroom on his honeymoon, Jack takes off his pants and throws them
    >
    > to Jill. "Here Babe, try these on," he says. So she does and says,
    > "They're too big; they don't fit me, Honey." "Exactly", says Jack.
    > "I wear the pants in this family and I always will!"
    > Then, Jill takes off her knickers and hands them to Jack. "Here, you try
    > mine on."
    > Jack attempts to put the knickers on, but eventually says,
    > "I can't get into your knickers, Babe."
    > "Exactly", says Jill. "And if you don't change your f***ing attitude, you
    > never will!!!"

I take it in the user profile there is an option to be automatically notified when you recieve a PM?

Not all boards vBulletin boards give you the option

    OK, heres the deal.

I rarely check the email address that my PM notifications are sent too, and I'm not really sure if they are anyway. I am on Mac which is probably the reason why no box pops up when I've got a message, not sure.

I rarely visit the homepage because I only really check the whatever forum.

If someone leaves me an FAO, I then know I have a PM. Once I have replied to the FAO or whatever, the topic slips quietly away. Personally I don't care if someone has FAO'd someone else, as long as it says FAO : So and so. Maybe people who have sent PM's to others should write the subject as FAO : so and so and so, etc.
